God Centered, Not Church Centered

Hi guys, it’s a happy Sunday, and even a happier Easter Season. Thousands of years ago, Christ made a sacrifice that no one had ever done, and no one would ever do -he gave his life.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

Romans 10:13

Some weeks back, I had a conversation with a guy who wanted to collect my number (the ladies should be able to relate) and he was insisting, even after several refusals, When it was obvious I wasn’t giving him, he said something that spurred a lot of thoughts and realizations, he said, “They said you’re a church girl”. As much as I was happy that I was recognized as a “church girl”, I realized that in the world where a lot of “denominations” have sprung up, most people have shifted their concentration from actually bringing people to the knowledge of what Christ did for us, and are more bothered about bringing people to our church.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The great commission given to us as Christians is plain and simple, Our message to the world as Christians is one, and same, no matter the denomination you belong to, The message our lives is to show, as living epistles is one and same, God’s love for us, that even as we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

So, can we examine our lives today? Have you been pre occupied with adding just numbers to our churches and not adding souls to the Kingdom?

Now, when I’m walking, if anyone tells me “you’re a Church girl”, I’ll smile and reply, “no, I’m a God girl

which are you?
