Big Smile Project
Spreading Hope. Restoring Dignity. One Smile at a Time.
The Big Smile Project is a signature outreach initiative of Church on the Street NG, created to bring joy, compassion, and practical support to displaced communities across Nigeria. Rooted inour mission to serve the most vulnerable with love and dignity, this project focuses on reaching Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with holistic care that meets both physical and spiritual needs. Through nationwide visits to IDP camps, our team distributes essential relief materials including food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and educational items. But we go beyond meeting immediate needs—we also minister hope through the Gospel and provide psycho-social support to help individuals and families heal from trauma and displacement. At the heart of the Big Smile Project is a desire to remind every man, woman, and child that they are not forgotten. By offering prayer, counseling, and safe spaces for emotional expression, we nurture resilience and restore a sense of purpose. Each visit ends not just with donations, but with connection—reaffirming the dignity and worth of those we serve. From Abuja to Benue, Maiduguri to Makurdi, the Big Smile Project has brought thousands of smiles to faces that have long endured hardship. And with every smile, we see renewed strength, growing faith, and the transformative power of genuine care. Join us in spreading hope, one smile at a time.

Rural Leadership Bootcamp
Raising Resilient Leaders from Nigeria’s Most Vulnerable Communities
The Rural Leadership Bootcamp is a life-shaping initiative under My9ja Food Bank, an outreach powered by Church on the Street NG. Designed specifically for children living in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, this program goes beyond basic relief to equip young minds with leadership skills, career awareness, and psycho-social support. We believe that leadership begins with identity, purpose, and vision. At the bootcamp, participants explore topics like self-confidence, teamwork, goal-setting, and servant leadership through interactive sessions, storytelling, and creative learning. They are introduced to diverse career paths—many for the first time—and mentored by professionals who share real-life journeys of hope and impact. But we don’t stop there. Recognizing the emotional toll of displacement, the program includes trauma-informed support through group conversations, music, art, and games—creating safe spaces for healing and growth. Through the Rural Leadership Bootcamp, we’re not just investing in education—we’re investing in possibility. We’re planting seeds of courage and capability in children who, despite their circumstances, are ready to dream, lead, and shape the future.

Compassion Project
Empowering Minds. Shaping Futures. Serving with Purpose.
At Church on the Street NG, we believe that education is not just a tool—it’s a lifeline. Our Volunteer Teaching Program was born out of a deep commitment to bridge the learning gap in underserved communities by connecting passionate volunteers with rural and low-cost schools across Nigeria. This initiative provides a unique platform for members of our community to serve meaningfully by sharing their knowledge, time, and talents. Volunteers step into classrooms as mentors and educators, delivering not just core academic lessons, but life-enriching skills and values that prepare students for a brighter future. From leadership training to essential life skills like sewing, photography, creative arts, and communication, the program equips children with practical tools for self-expression, economic independence, and confidence. Every session is crafted to inspire curiosity, nurture creativity, and encourage children to dream beyond their circumstances. The Volunteer Teaching Program is more than teaching—it’s a movement of purpose-driven service. It's about planting seeds of possibility in places often overlooked and empowering the next generation to rise, lead, and thrive. Every child deserves the chance to learn. Every volunteer has the power to transform a life.

Widows Grant Program
Restoring Dignity. Rebuilding Lives. One Woman at a Time.
At Church on the Street NG, we believe no woman should walk the path of widowhood alone—especially not in poverty. Our Widows Grant Program is a compassionate initiative designed to provide immediate financial support to widows facing economic hardship across Nigeria. Through a direct grant we help widows take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives—whether it’s starting a small business, paying school fees, buying food, or covering essential medical needs. But more than money, we offer dignity, hope, and the assurance that they are seen, heard, and supported. Many of these women are single-handedly raising children in challenging conditions, with little to no support. The grant, though modest, becomes a seed of transformation—unlocking courage, creativity, and a renewed sense of purpose. Each grant is disbursed with care, prayer, and personal connection. We don’t just give—we walk alongside, offering encouragement, empowerment, and follow-up support where possible. Widowhood should not mean invisibility. Through this program, we are reminding every widow that her story still matters—and her future is still full of promise.
